Peter Max
Peter max was born October 19th, 1937. He was born in Berlin Germany, and is currently 80 years old. Peter max was born while the nazis were rising to power. Shortly after he was born his family fled to Shanghai China to escape the nazis. His child hood was full of moving from place to place. After living in China, Peter Max moved to Haifa, Israel then moving to Paris. After months in Paris Peter moved to Brooklyn where his art career began. He attended Lafayette High school in New York city where he studied figure drawing and composition. Peter Max he also practiced at at The art students league of New York. After High School Peter Max upend an art studio called The Daly & Max Studio. Peter Max's art is very retro and bright. From leaving in Paris for several months he was very inspired by the culture of art. A lot of his artworks included skylines of city and space related things.

main influence
My portrait is Peter Max inspired. I took The Minneapolis skyline, changed the colors to make it look similar to a Peter Max Skyline. I did this by making the colors neon and tropical just like Peter Max. I did this by using the paint bucket tool and selecting the neon colors and making tropical. I feel like this project was very well done be cause it is very similar to a piece of art made by Peter Max. The meaning of my portrait is that pollution ruins cities, and so much money is being spent on this cities just for them to be ruined by pollution. the was I expressed this through the portrait was by having the dark gray and black smoke ruining the colorful skyline. Also money is coming out of my hands and disappearing into a black hole forever.
